Donations extended to support the hospital and individuals affected by kidney disease

In the year 2024, the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital Kidney Unit and kidney patients received a donation worth Rs. 571,495/= 

Some of which are as follows.

Donation of Rs. 250,000/= by Dr. Nadeesha Nishanthi.
Donation of Rs.195,800/= by the Ceylon Bank Women’s Association in the year 2024.
Deposit of Rs. 8,010/= from a well-wisher who remains unidentified.

Expenses incurred for the welfare of kidney patients

Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, charitable activities for the hospital and kidney patients experienced certain limitations. An analysis of charitable expenses from 2016 to 2024, including kidney welfare expenses for this year, is presented below.

Hospital and Kidney Patient Related Expenses

To support kidney patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis therapy (CAPD)

Since this peritoneal dialysis treatment is a patient-administered treatment,

A toilet with sanitary facilities
A room with sanitary facilities
Water facilities

It is imperative to have proper facilities. However, since many kidney patients do not have the means to provide such facilities, even those patients who should undergo such treatment are unable to get treatment. We, through our foundation, are already working to provide infrastructure facilities for such patients.

Due to COVID-19–related health guidelines and legal regulations, we were unable to carry out this work for patients requiring infrastructure facilities over the past years. Below are photos showing the facilities provided by our foundation over the years
