OBJECTIVES
Objectives of the Anuradhapura Kidney Protection Foundation
Anuradhapura Kidney Protection Foundation is a voluntary organization established in 2008 under the theme “Let’s empower kidney patients”, to meet the needs of kidney patients receiving treatment at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
“To improve the welfare of kidney patients by identifying kidney patients early, referring them for treatment, providing information for research activities, developing the social and economic activities of kidney patients and maintaining a “Sisu Diriya” scholarship fund to advance the educational activities of their children.”

Our Mission
Anuradhapura kidney Protection Foundation is fighting to save lives by empowering chronic kidney disease (CKD) patient’s accessibility for kidney care, Dialysis and Transplantation and also acting as a ” Beacon of Light ” for the Children of CKD patients to reach their educational goals unaffected.

The main objectives
- To facilitate and support research and survey activities conducted by the Anuradhapura Kidney Treatment and Research Center or jointly with the institution.
- To conduct and support educational and community awareness programs for the prevention of kidney diseases.
- To launch and support programs for the identification of kidney patients.
- To provide equipment, maintenance, and infrastructure development to provide quality services through the Kidney Treatment and Research Center of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
- To provide necessary support to other health service institutions working in collaboration with the Anuradhapura Kidney Treatment and Research Center to provide services to kidney patients.
- To support the provision of necessary health services for kidney patients in cases where such services are lacking in hospitals.
- To provide assistance to kidney patients in Anuradhapura, their families and the families of deceased patients to ensure their economic and social needs.
- To support activities and infrastructure development to improve the welfare of patients.
- To support activities organized by government and non-government institutions to improve the welfare of kidney patients.
- To support other programs implemented directly or indirectly to improve the welfare of kidney patients in the Anuradhapura District.
- To seek, and appreciate contributions from individuals and organizations aimed at enhancing the welfare of kidney patients in the North Central Province.
Donating funds to the children of kidney patients under the “Sisu Diriya” scholarship program
Providing financial assistance of Rs. 25000 to kidney transplant patients at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital
Providing drinking water to the renal unit, PDU unit and Bhikkhu ward
Donating of equipment and maintenance activities for the Renal Unit of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital
